My partner; Amanda Norman is into all things Gothic and Horror and has recently started making some very nice jewellery, such as this Blood Vial (not real blood) Necklace.

I was helping out, taking some photos for her site and really liked this one.

Yesterday, I was lucky enough to be given an access all areas pass for Warrington Music Festival which is an annual event help by the Parr Hall in partnership with the Golden Square shopping centre.

I only managed to stay for a few hours but I’m very pleased with the images I captured and all the wonderful feedback on Facebook, Flickr and elsewhere.

I hope you enjoy looking at the images too.

I was lucky enough to be the photographer for a charity football match between Golden Square shopping centre and Warrington Borough Transport bus drivers.

The chosen charity was Alder Hey Children’s Hospital – a very good cause.

The best bit about babysitting is having an awesome subject to photograph.

Here’s an edit – not sure which I prefer, they both have their qualities.

Lighting is something I’m trying to learn about at the moment.  Me being me though, I prefer to learn by trial and error.

This is a self “portrait” shot using a remote with a strong back light.

I am doing it right?

It’s very rarely that I take self portraits but my computer is broken* at the moment, I’m off work today and I’ve not got much to entertain myself with other than my camera.  It’s a good thing though, I should do a lot more photography.

The main reason for not doing self portraits is that I see them as egotistical in general.

Anyway, here said egotistical self portraits!

*If you’re wondering how I’ve done photo editing; I’ve been using my girlfriend computer.  It’s just not the same as using your own computer though is it?

First blog post in a long time – sorry about that!

I visited Crosby yesterday with my partner, Amanda Norman (www.amandanorman.com). It’s an amazing place to do photography. I’ve been itching to get out there to do some real photography for a while.

I’ve been taking photos but for work or paid jobs for people which just don’t excite me at all. I love getting out and exploring; left to experiment.
